Many people ask me what I really do. I will try to tell you the best and shortest way I can.

Fate led me to Asia. I needed to look at the world from a different perspective and take a moment away from the sad events and my everyday life – Warsaw at that time – working as a photographer and marketer in a fashion company.

Why did I choose Asia and why Gili Trawangan in Indonesia? Well, my cousin Patcy worked here in one of the diving schools as a Divemaster, so I bought a ticket, planning to visit for only two or three months. As you can see, I have never returned from these holidays. Bah! Not only did I not return, but I started diving. But from the beginning:

Patcy asked if I would like to try to dive. I wasn’t incredibly excited about this idea, but why not, since so many professionals come here for this purpose. And listen: I tried! It was the most beautiful thing I’ve done in a long time! In the blink of an eye I fell in love with the light underwater, in the colors of this magical silent world.

“How wonderful it would be to take pictures here!”, I thought.

I was so attracted to the underwater world and excited about scuba diving that I found that one dive was not enough. I did all the certification levels and courses that enabled me to shoot underwater. I practiced a lot, I learned from my mistakes (and I’m still learning ;), I learned various techniques, I trained to start taking pictures of divers during their courses.

After a few months I was offered a job at the Trawangan Dive Center and I am happy to work here to this day. But what exactly does it look like? Well, I hold the position of Head Photographer at Trawangan Dive Center and … I take pictures. I create content for our social media, by taking pictures underwater and on the surface. I also work on many photo and diving projects, environmental protection and my artistic projects (I don’t know how to name them, but I will write about all these projects because some have already been gathered and I still have a head full of new ideas.
